These are two pillars which are central to Boot Holland 2019. The exhibition will take place from 8 to 13 February 2019 at the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden. Boot Holland sails ahead of the fleet. Year after year, this inspiring exhibition shows the latest developments in water sports. Boot Holland is the time to start the new water sport season. The fair offers a special and all-round look under the waterline. It makes Boot Holland ideal to taste atmosphere, spot trends and meet like-minded people.
Scoops Boot Holland
Every year there are many firsts to be admired during the exhibition. We can already share three very nice firsts! Rivera Nautic from Heeg comes with Maxima Boats to Boot Holland. Bootcentrum Geertsma presents the Bege Tigo Cruiser 1300 and A28 Watersports brings the beautiful Florijn 495 XL.
Steel construction plays a prominent role at Boot Holland. A number of renowned Dutch builders of steel vessels with a length of 9 to 17 meters can be found all together in one hall. These are placed along the imposing motorboat dock and around it. In this category, more than 40 ships present themselves annually at the fair.
What started with a piece of fun sports has grown into a hall of experiences where various parts in the field of recreation are covered. The Recreation Pavilion, for example, provides space for marinas and companies that specialize in charter and rental, boating holidays and sailing and motor charters in the Netherlands and abroad. At the interactive Fun pavilion, with the large basin, the visitor gets acquainted with fun sports such as supping, skimboarding, kiting, water skiing and surfing. Houseboats can not be ignored when we talk about recreation.
The open boats can be divided into sloops, tenders and ribs. This boat type is especially suitable for sheltered waters and short crossings. Boot Holland presents a respectable number of sloop builders and importers with a large line of new sloops.
Scoop Information / do it yourself pavilion
On this square the visitor will be treated throughout the day with presentations, workshops and clinics about the most diverse water sport topics. Whether you want to know which antifouling is allowed on the boat in 2019, how to properly maintain the engine, which lines and ropes are suitable for the job or what a purchase inspection looks like, you can find it on the Information / do it yourself pavilion . The pavilion is located near the North entrance in the Keltenhal and is commissioned by Boot Holland and presented by water sports professional Walter Knopper. He has been working in water sports for many years and has made long sailing trips with his boat to and on the Mediterranean. His water sports knowledge combined with the knowledge of the relevant speakers will lead to a qualitative program for both novice and advanced water sports enthusiasts.
